Penn State Scranton’s Assistant Professor of Business Nonna Sorokina recently presented her research, “Sustainable Energy Marketplace and Societal Readiness,” which examines how public opinion influences investments in sustainable energy projects, during the campus' Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Seminar Series.
Over 100 students showcased their research at Penn State Scranton’s 2025 Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition, held at the campus earlier this month. Students from a variety of academic disciplines participated in poster exhibits, panel discussions and presentations and artistic projects, with select faculty and staff judging the submissions and naming the winning projects.
Dr. Raymond Petren, associate professor of human development and family studies is passionate about educating the public on the value of a HDFS degree.
Students from three high schools in the Scranton area were able to learn more about the engineering profession and the Penn State Scranton campus during Engineering Day. The goal is to expose students to the engineering profession and all the ways engineers impact communities.
