University Editorial numbers/Editing (allow at least one week per document)
External promotional materials are required to meet Penn State editorial standards. They need to be reviewed for correct use and appearance of University images, style, branding, and accuracy.
Please note, we may need to alter submitted copy to meet these specific guidelines.
To ensure that proper reviews are done on official University materials, Penn State requires a University Editorial (U.Ed.) number to be assigned to them, along with a non-discrimination blurb.
Strategic Communications is responsible for assigning U.Ed. numbers and editing these documents before they go to print.
U.Ed. numbers are required for all newly created materials, as well as existing materials each time a change is made to the content and must be done through Strategic Communications.
