Summer Camp: Nursing Academy for Health Care Careers 

High school students interested in nursing and health care will explore the nursing field and health care careers in this week-long summer camp. Now more than ever, the importance of nursing and health care careers is clear. Talented nurses and health care professionals are in demand and health industry workforce needs will continue to expand rapidly.

Nursing Academy Overview

Each day during the nursing summer camp, skilled nursing faculty and health care professionals will take the lead and provide students with insight to their specific field of expertise.

Campers will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in nursing-simulation in a lab setting.
  • Engage in interactive learning experiences
  • Obtain health prevention, promotion, and maintenance education from skilled nursing faculty.

By the end of the week, students will leave with a snapshot of nursing education, nursing career paths, and understanding of a health care profession that provides care to diverse populations, saves lives, and instrumental to public health and safety.
