Set yourself up for registration success!
Getting prepared before registration opens can save you time, reduce stress, and help you secure the courses you need. By meeting with your academic adviser, selecting classes in advance, and validating your schedule ahead of your enrollment date, you'll have an opportunity to address any prerequisite issues, scheduling conflicts or other registration barriers before it's time to enroll.
A little planning now can help keep you on track toward your academic goals and graduation timeline.
Whether you're planning next semester's schedule or staying on track for graduation, meet with your academic adviser before registration opens to help ensure you're prepared and avoid delays in completing your degree.
Important registration dates
- Shopping carts opened: September 21, 2026
- Priority registration begins: September 30, 2026
- Regular registration begins: October 7, 2026
Prepare for registration:
Follow these steps to be ready when your registration date arrives:
Step 1: Meet with your academic adviser
Schedule time with your adviser to discuss your academic plan, degree requirements and recommended courses for Spring 2027.

Step 2: Search for classes in LionPATH
Review available course offerings and identify the classes you plan to take next semester.
Step 3: Add classes to your shopping cart
Add your selected courses to your LionPATH Shopping Cart so they're ready when registration opens.
Step 4: Review your shopping cart
Confirm that all the courses you intend to take are listed correctly in your cart.
Step 5: Validate your classes
Before registration opens, validate your courses to identify any scheduling conflicts, prerequisite issues or other enrollment concerns.
- Check the box next to each course you want to validate.
- Select Validate and review the results:
- Green checkmark: The course is ready to enroll.
- Red X: There may be a time conflict, prerequisite issue, or another concern.
- Carefully review any messages and make necessary adjustments.]
- Select Return to shopping cart when you're finished.
Step 6: Enroll when registration opens
Once your enrollment appointment becomes active:
- Select the courses you wish to add to your schedule.
- Click Enroll.
- Select Yes in the enrollment confirmation window.
- Review the results to verify that you successfully enrolled in your selected courses.

Fall into Success: Academic Advising Week 2026
ADVISING WEEK IS OCTOBER 19-23.
The Academic Advising Services will provide students with helpful academic planning resources through a series of engaging events held October 19 to 23 outside the View Café in the Study Learning Center.
Throughout the week, students will learn about important topics such as major requirements, Entrance to Major (ETM) processes, 2+2 pathways, degree completion planning, class registration, schedule building, and strategies for graduating on time while enjoying seasonal activities and treats.
