Biography
Douglas Hein began working at Scranton Counseling Center in February 2023 and is responsible for grant writing, development, fundraising, and community outreach. Since 2000, Hein has gained extensive experience in municipal and non-profit accounting as well as grant writing. Volunteering as a Chamber Influencer for the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and serving on the Chamber’s LIFE Board helps build strong community partnerships and provides opportunities to promote the Center throughout Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties and the surrounding area.
A lifelong resident of Scranton, Hein lives in the East Mountain section with spouse Patty. They have two adult daughters, Abigail and Kelsey. He holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Business Management, both from Bloomsburg University.
