Research Interests
- Why is sex among individuals so predominate given the costs?
- How does the environment determine mating strategy in those that can self-fertilize and outcross
- Why does mating strategy and male populations vary across populations of the mangrove rivulus fish, one of only two vertebrates known to self-fertilize?
- Are there evolutionary and developmental constraints that restrict other vertebrates from self-fertilizing?
