Welcome Back, Penn State Scranton! Spring 2026 is Here!
The start of a new semester is always an exciting time, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome you back to campus! To our new students—welcome to Penn State Scranton! We’re thrilled to have you join our Penn State family and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish. To our Current Students—welcome back! We’ve missed you and are looking forward to seeing you on campus again.
Classes begin Monday, January 12, 2026, and we’ve planned a week full of fun activities to kick off the semester. Here’s what you can look forward to during Welcome Week:
Welcome Week events:
Monday, Jan. 12 – Welcome Back Lunch Start the semester off right at noon in The View Café with a delicious Build-Your-Own Rice Bowl lunch. Come hungry and ready to connect with friends and classmates!
Tuesday, Jan. 13 – “The Price is What?” Game Show
Think you know the cost of everyday items? Put your shopping savvy to the test in this interactive game show! From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in The View Café, play along and compete for prizes. Multiple winners, four rounds, and $200 in cash prizes (or gift cards) make this a can’t-miss event!
Wednesday, Jan. 14 – Custom Linen Photo Bags Starting at noon in The View Café, get creative and design your own personalized photo bag to take home. A perfect way to show off your Penn State pride!
Thursday, Jan. 15 – Pancake Art with Dancakes Join us at noon in The View Café and watch as the world-famous Dancakes team turns breakfast into a masterpiece! Their pancake art is as delicious as it is Instagram-worthy. Don’t miss this unique experience!
Friday, Jan. 16 – Welcome Back Bingo Wrap up the week at noon in The View Cafe with a classic favorite, Welcome Back Bingo! Great prizes and lots of fun guaranteed.
Club Fair – Jan. 22 & 23
After Welcome Week, be sure to explore our campus life at our two-day Club Fairon January 22 and 23. You will have the opportunity to explore student organizations, meet new friends, and find ways to get involved in co-curricular activities that will make your Penn State experience unforgettable.
