Your virtual Penn State Orientation experience will combine multiple opportunities for real-time engagement with Penn State staff, Orientation Leaders, and Academic Advisers from both University Park campus and the Scranton campus.
University-Wide Orientation
From start to finish, this part of the orientation experience will take place over three to five days.
- Day 1 - University Welcome (3 Hours): A three-hour virtual event from University Park campus kicks off your orientation experience. University-wide information will be provided, Orientation Leader break out sessions and Scranton-specific Zoom session are also available. Your participation is required in order to gain access to the additional self-paced modules and advising.
- Day 2 - Campus Specific Content (3-4 hours): Enroll in self-paced online modules including a Canvas course.
- Day 3 - Advising (2 hour): Academic Advising and Course Scheduling
Family Participation
You’ll be able to make a reservation for family members to participate in Virtual Orientation through the reservation system. Separate, but concurrent, programming options will be available for family members that wish to support you through the orientation process. Please add them as your guest(s) to ensure they receive important information about orientation.
