Fall Open House is October 16 at Penn State Scranton

Penn State Scranton will hold its Penn State Day Fall Open House at 1 - 4:30 p.m. on October 16. Check-in at the Multi Purpose Building.

Who Should Attend

This open house event is for students, both traditional and non-traditional, that are starting their college searches. Our open house events are designed to let you explore our campus and meet the people who will guide you on your way to earning your degree. It is a fun and relaxed way to visit the campus; meet other Penn State students, faculty and staff; and get the opportunity to ask questions about pursuing a college degree at Penn State.

What You Will Learn and Do

Prospective students will learn about the Penn State Commonwealth Campus system, the University’s 275+ majors, and the 14 baccalaureate and four associate degree programs currently offered at Penn State Scranton.

Students will also hear about academic advising, career counseling and internship opportunities, and have the chance to talk with current Penn State Scranton student leaders.

Visitors will also tour the campus’ facilities, including the new Engineering Building, The Science Suite, featuring high-tech biology, chemistry and physics labs; the David and Ann Hawk Student Success Center; new athletic facilities; and the Business Building, which features a Wall Street-style trading room classroom.

Faculty, staff and students will also be on hand to discuss the campus' honors programs, student clubs, financial aid, housing, advising and admissions criteria, the college application process and student life at Penn State Scranton.
