Mission Statement
The Pennsylvania State University Police is a professional, full-service law enforcement organization. Our core function is hiring quality employees to provide public safety services and protection of individual rights. We treat each member of our diverse community with fairness and compassion contributing to the quality and excellence of The Pennsylvania State University and its mission. We also employ highly qualified part-time Public Safety Officers for your protection.

Emergency campus phone locations: There are three emergency BLUE phones on campus. Press the RED button on phone and talk into the speaker:
- Lot #2 by the walkway to the Dawson Building
- Behind the Library on the patio
- Lot #4 at the beginning of the walkway across from the Multi-Purpose Building
Police patrol: 24 hours a day. This includes the entire campus (all buildings, parking lots, and grounds).
Escort Service: Upon Request. Call 570-963-2555 or 570-687-5212 to request this service.
Parking: FREE!
Parking hangtags are required for faculty/staff and students (not required for students in the summer semester).
Parking citations will be issued for those in violation for all parking areas. All parking violation fines/monies collected are deposited in the Student Government Association fund to support student related activities.
